Have you ever thought, “Maybe I just can’t trust myself with food?” It’s an incredibly common concern, and we’ve been there too, which is why we created Eat Confident Co. We believe you have all the tools you need to know how to eat and care for yourself, you may just need practice, support and encouragement in doing so.
Solving your eating problems by adding more rules doesn’t work. It ignores your body’s natural ability to know what it needs, creating a disconnection between you and your body. It also creates distrust and fear around food and weight.
Your body has your back - it knows exactly what it needs and what weight it wants to be. Your job then isn’t to count calories, track macros, follow a meal plan or micromanage your weight. Your job is only to listen to, connect with and practice respect for what your body is communicating to you.
As nutrition professionals, we can help you build confidence, knowledge, and trust in your ability to make food decisions without a strict set of rules. We use a weight-neutral, non-diet approach to health and wellbeing. This approach is well supported by science and clinical practice and we’d love to help you implement strategies and principles to begin living a life free of food and body preoccupation.
No matter how discouraged or hopeless you feel, we have every confidence that you can find a peaceful relationship with food and your body and we want to help you get there.
Emily Fonnesbeck is a Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Therapist living in Logan, Utah with her husband and 4 kids. She owns a private practice with a professional focus on treating eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns and digestive issues. She knows how it feels to be confused, overwhelmed and frustrated with food while hating your body. Healing is difficult work, but rest assured that the result is worth any effort. Everything in life becomes exponentially better when you make peace with food. That’s not to be dramatic, just honest in how all-consuming those concerns can feel. Emily is passionate about helping individuals just like you create a peaceful relationship with food and your body, building confidence in your own natural ability to know how to eat.
Stephanie Webb (MSHN) is holistic nutritionist and certified eating psychology coach who works with women to take the guilt and stress out of healthy living. Stephanie is the founder of Nutrition Redefined, an online nutrition & wellness coaching practice, and loves being able to run her own business while raising her three kids. Stephanie is the host of the Nutrition Redefined podcast and loves spreading her message that food can (and should!) be fun. She has worked with hundreds of women in her online coaching practice and also teaches live in-person workshops all over the country. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, a master’s degree in Holistic Nutrition, and is also a certified personal trainer.
Meet the Team
Megan Staheli is the communications and social media specialist at Eat Confident Co. She graduated from Brigham Young University – Idaho with a Bachelors Degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Promotion and Health Education. Megan aspires to become a registered dietitian and is passionate about all things intuitive eating. She is originally from St. George, Utah, but recently relocated to Salt Lake City after living in San Francisco, CA for two years. Megan enjoys yoga, running, board games and exploring new places with her husband. Her dream meal includes a mug of toasty crio bru, a Mexican burrito and warm chocolate chip cookies for dessert - YUM.
Ann Myer is the Eat Confident Co. Community Manager. She helps Stephanie and Emily by managing the Facebook group and generally keeping track of everyone! She is a personal trainer and teaches boot camp type classes to athletes, wise (aka older) women, and teens in her garage. She and her awesome husband have four grown children and four grandchildren. She lives in Southern California a few miles from the beach. Anne love dark chocolate, her friends, family shenanigans, the rain, hiking, camping, cooking, baking, and feeding people. And of course, Eat Confident Collective is her latest passion!
Kendall Bateman is the graphic designer at Eat Confident Co. She is a Salt Lake City Graphic Designer and Marketing Specialist. Kendall graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho last year with a Bachelors Degree in Communications with an emphasis in Graphic Design and Visual Media. She has lived in Salt Lake for a year and is originally from Arizona. She loves the sun and the summer and loves eating and cooking real food. She's passionate about health and fitness. During her free time she likes being outdoors with her husband playing sports, hiking, cooking, photography, designing, decorating her new apartment and reading a good book.
